Mercedes-AMG's 1,153 Hp Electric GT 4-Door Takes On Porsche's Taycan

Mercedes-AMG unveiled a new all-electric GT 4-Door Coupe built on its AMG.EA EV platform.

The GT63 version uses three axial-flux motors and a Formula 1-developed 800-volt battery to deliver 1,153 hp.

Mercedes says it can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 2.0 seconds and supports ultra-fast 600 kW charging.

The sedan is slated to reach the market in 2027 as a direct rival to the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
