Apple’s New M6 Adds a Feature Previously Exclusive to High-End Chips

Apple’s M6 reportedly features 12 CPU cores: two super cores, four performance cores, and six efficiency cores.

It is the first base Apple silicon chip to combine all three CPU core types previously reserved for higher-end processors.

The M6 is also described as Apple’s first 2-nanometer processor and debuts in the new Mac mini, potentially improving performance flexibility and efficiency.
