Google Expands AI Identification Tool to Chrome and Search

Google is extending SynthID AI watermark detection to Chrome and Google Search.

Users will be able to check images, video, and audio via tools like Circle to Search and right-click search.

Google is also expanding SynthID adoption through partnerships with OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Nvidia, and others.

The company will embed SynthID into its new Gemini Omni video tool, widening AI provenance checks beyond Google models.
