New US turret fires 54 barrels in 360 degrees at drone swarms using acoustic sensors

Picket Defense Systems unveiled Inferno RTC, a modular spherical counter-drone turret with 54 fixed barrels.

It uses passive acoustic and optical sensing to detect and engage drones from all directions, including swarms.

The system is designed for very short-range defense, with an effective reach of about 120 meters.

The launch highlights demand for cheaper, mobile, last-ditch air defenses as drones outpace traditional EW and radar systems.
