'Parliament Member Map' draws attention: built by a construction worker as a personal project, it uses generative AI to make lawmakers' remarks and political developments easy to understand

A construction worker-turned-developer, Mr. Nakajima, built and runs a solo political information site called "Kokkai Giin Map" during medical leave.

The site lets users search Diet members’ speeches, plenary vote records, topic-based debates, and vote-matching results in one place.

It pulls speech data via the National Diet Library’s meeting records API and uses AI summaries powered by Claude 4.5 Haiku.

The tool is gaining attention for making politicians’ positions easier to compare and lowering the barrier to political participation.
