Thermoses Linked to Permanent Vision Loss

Thermos is recalling more than 8 million insulated bottles and food jars sold from 2008 to 2024 over a stopper hazard.

The company said pressure can build inside the containers and force the stopper out, creating a serious injury risk.

The defect has already injured 27 people, including three who were permanently blinded.

Affected products include several Thermos bottles and food jars sold through retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon.
