PC parts market pushed aside by AI demand... motherboard sales face an all-time slump

Rising demand for AI servers is tightening semiconductor supply, pushing up prices for PC memory, CPUs, and storage.

As a result, major motherboard makers in Taiwan have sharply cut sales targets for this year.

The top four vendors — ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock — are now expected to see combined shipments fall about 28% year over year.
