Intel Xeon 6 With AMX Accelerates Microsoft’s Azure Local, Scaling Deployments to Thousands of Servers

Intel and Microsoft said Azure Local can now scale from hundreds to thousands of servers with Intel Xeon 6 processors.

Xeon 6 adds AMX AI acceleration, improving performance for private cloud and enterprise AI workloads.

The setup is designed for sovereign, connected, or disconnected deployments inside customer-controlled environments.

Validated hardware from partners like DataON, Dell, Hitachi Vantara, HPE, Lenovo, and NetApp helps enterprises deploy without redesigning the platform.
