"HAKATA EN TERRACE," a engawa-style space at Dekimachi Park in Hakata

Fukuoka City plans to open HAKATA EN TERRACE in Dekimachi Park in fall 2027, creating a hub for experiencing Hakata’s history, culture, and food, along with tourist information and community functions.

A consortium led by President Hakata has been selected as the preferred operator.

The facility is expected to improve circulation and length of stay in the Hakata old district while encouraging interaction between visitors and local residents.

It is also expected to boost neighborhood activity, strengthen regional partnerships, and add disaster-preparedness functions.
