United adds TSA wait times to its mobile app

United updated its iOS and Android apps to show estimated TSA and PreCheck wait times at its US hub airports.

The app also adds gate walking directions with time estimates and can notify passengers if United may hold a flight for tight connections.

Other new features include weather radar text alerts, self-service rebooking and voucher requests, and enhanced bag tracking with AirTag sharing.
