New PS5 Game Has Serious Metal Gear Solid 1 Vibes, and It's Releasing This Month

Spy Drops, a retro-style indie stealth game inspired by Metal Gear Solid, is coming to PS5 on April 28, 2026.

The game will launch on Xbox Series X/S the same day, expanding beyond its earlier Steam and Nintendo Switch release in 2025.

Along with the new console launch, the game is being updated with gameplay tweaks, including the removal of AI voice acting.

The release gives stealth-action fans a new modern option with classic Metal Gear Solid vibes and wider platform support.
