Bezos' Project Prometheus hires xAI co-founder from OpenAI

Jeff Bezos' Project Prometheus has hired Kyle Kosic, a co-founder of xAI who most recently worked at OpenAI.

Kosic led infrastructure for xAI's Colossus supercomputer and will continue on AI infrastructure at Prometheus.

Project Prometheus is building AI systems to understand the physical world, focusing on tasks like engine design and engineering.

Prometheus has already hired hundreds of employees across San Francisco, London, and Zurich and is seeking large investment capacity.
