Oracle layoffs could reach 30,000 as company doubles down on AI

Oracle has started global job cuts as it reallocates resources toward AI infrastructure.

Employees in the US and India reported receiving termination emails that marked their final day.

Some estimates put potential layoffs between 20,000 and 30,000 while the company employed about 162,000 people.

Oracle said it added $500 million for restructuring and is investing heavily in the Stargate data center project with partners including OpenAI.
