USS Cleveland: Navy to induct last Freedom-class 3,500-ton littoral combat ship

The US Navy is commissioning USS Cleveland (LCS 31), the final Freedom-class littoral combat ship.

The ship arrived in Cleveland, Ohio, ahead of its May 16 commissioning ceremony.

After commissioning, USS Cleveland will be based at Mayport, Florida.

It will support maritime security, sea control, deterrence, and near-shore missions, marking the end of the Freedom-class build program.
