JD.com Reportedly Blocks External AI Tools, Meituan Tightens Use of Alibaba’s Qwen Model

Huawei says it has brought digital connectivity to 170 million people in remote areas across 80+ countries, beating its 2025 goal of 120 million.

The update was shared at Huawei’s TECH Cares Forum in Barcelona, where leaders and partners focused on digital inclusion, infrastructure, and skills training.

Huawei and partners highlighted rural network solutions and programs such as Skills on Wheels and RuralCow to improve access in underserved communities.

The company says expanding connectivity and digital skills is essential to narrowing the digital divide and enabling AI-era services.
