Continue tasks on your tablet right where you left off on your phone… Android’s ‘Continue On’ is coming

Google is preparing “Continue On” for Android 17, a continuity feature that lets users move an active task from one Android device to another.

The first supported handoff will likely be smartphone to tablet, letting work continue where it left off.

This could make Android usage feel more task-centered and less device-bound.

It also puts Google in closer competition with Apple’s Handoff and broader continuity features.
