Embracer says it will ‘more actively’ explore Deus Ex, TimeSplitters, and Saints Row partnerships

Embracer says its spin-off Fellowship Entertainment will launch a new IP licensing unit to court outside partners.

The company plans to more actively license franchises such as Deus Ex, Saints Row, Legacy of Kain, and TimeSplitters.

The strategy could help revive dormant series and create new revenue after layoffs and cancellations hit parts of the catalog.

Embracer also wants to pursue broader transmedia deals across major owned properties, including Tomb Raider, The Lord of the Rings, Metro, and Dead Island.
