Korea Zinc Chairman Choi Yoon-bum: “Korea and Chile can build a carbon neutrality cooperation model”

Korea Zinc Chairman Choi Yoon-bum called for stronger cooperation with Chile on critical minerals and clean energy at a bilateral business roundtable.

He said Chile’s mineral, solar, and wind resources combined with Korea’s smelting, battery, and hydrogen capabilities could create a carbon-neutral partnership model.

Korea Zinc also signaled plans to expand cooperation with Chile in future energy areas such as BESS and green hydrogen.

The partnership matters because supply-chain stability is closely tied to competitiveness in semiconductors, batteries, and hydrogen industries.
