Gmail finally lets you change your cringey old usernames

Google has enabled changing Gmail usernames for Google Account users in the US.

Users with @gmail.com accounts can switch to a different @gmail.com address while keeping emails and other data.

Old addresses become alternate emails and will still receive mail, and either address can sign in.

Changes are limited to once every 12 months, up to three times total, and new addresses cannot be deleted.
