WhatsApp Web rolls out audio and video calling, with call transfer support

WhatsApp is expanding WhatsApp Web to support one-on-one and group voice and video calls.

The rollout adds call transfer between devices and web, plus a waiting-room style approval option for hosts.

QuickHD startup quality is also being improved, making browser calling feel closer to the mobile and desktop apps.
