Google thinks Gemini 3.5 Flash can finally make AI agents more useful

Google launched Gemini 3.5 Flash at I/O and is rolling it out globally across consumer, developer, and enterprise products.

The company says the model beats Gemini 3.1 Pro on key benchmarks and is roughly 4x faster than rival frontier models.

Google says Gemini 3.5 Flash is designed for long-horizon tasks, coding, and agentic workflows that need speed and stronger reasoning.

Google also teased Gemini 3.5 Pro for next month and introduced Gemini Spark, a personal AI agent built on the new model.
