There's Already a Way to Mount Your Smartphone to a Steam Controller

Mechanism is launching the Basegrip for Valve’s new Steam Controller, a grip that keeps access to the magnetic charging puck.

The accessory works with Mechanism’s existing mounts, including a smartphone mount, making it easier to build a portable streaming setup.

Basegrip goes on sale May 4 for $9, the same day the Steam Controller launches.

Mechanism also plans a Steam Controller Dock in June, while noting the controller’s limited compatibility outside Steam and Steam Link.
