Affordable humanoid robot kit at $15,000 pushes advanced robotics into public hands

Menlo Research launched Asimov, a fully unassembled open-source humanoid robot kit priced at about $15,000.

The 1.2-meter, 35-kilogram biped offers 25+ degrees of freedom, modular sections, and 3D-printed parts.

Its software stack is built for sim-to-real learning, including zero-shot walking and push recovery.

By cutting the entry cost, the kit could make advanced humanoid robotics more accessible to developers and hobbyists.
