Google will bring Gemini to Google built-in cars, replacing the current Assistant experience with a more conversational voice AI.

The rollout starts in U.S. English and will expand over time, including via software updates to eligible existing vehicles.

Drivers will be able to use Gemini for navigation, messaging, vehicle controls, owner’s manual lookups, and EV charging questions.

The move extends generative AI into in-car infotainment, aiming to make driving interactions more natural and useful.
