Survey finds Claude's weekly active users in the US skew far wealthier than any rival AI assistant

Epoch AI and Ipsos found that 80% of US Claude users live in households earning over $100,000.

That is a higher income concentration than any major rival AI assistant, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, and Meta AI.

Despite that wealthier user base, Claude still has relatively low overall reach compared with the biggest AI assistants.

The findings raise concerns that access to more capable AI tools may be clustering among higher-income users and widening advantage gaps.
