The China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance launched a group standard for a general model of cost accounting for power and energy storage batteries in Beijing.

Nearly 30 organizations joined discussions on the cost framework, statistical scope, and scenario adaptation.

The standard will cover full-process cost accounting for battery cells and packs in both power and storage applications.

It is intended to curb destructive price competition, improve market discipline, and support oversight of low-price competition overseas.
