SAS opens its analytics engine to Claude, Copilot and any AI agent with Viya MCP Server

SAS announced Viya MCP Server, exposing its analytics and decisioning services through the Model Context Protocol.

This lets external agents such as Claude and Copilot call governed SAS models and workflows directly.

SAS also unveiled an Agentic AI Accelerator, a multi-agent marketing system in CI360, a Supply Chain Agent, and AI Navigator for cross-vendor AI governance.

The move positions SAS as a backend for enterprise AI agents, with governance and trusted domain models as a key differentiator.
