Google Home's spring update gives Nest cameras a big AI boost

Google is rolling out a spring 2026 Google Home update for all users.

The update brings a redesigned camera interface, faster video navigation, automatic zoom alerts, and better face recognition.

Older Nest cameras with Google Home Premium Advanced will get Gemini-powered event descriptions.

Google Home is also expanding automation options across security, appliances, lighting, climate, media, and device controls.
