NTT to Host IOWN-Powered VR Fan Meeting Where Fans Can High-Five Their Faves

NTT and NTT Docomo ran a VR fan meeting trial by linking two distant sites over IOWN APN with low latency.

The setup let fans talk with a VTuber and even experience a virtual high-five inside VR.

By combining Self-Haptics with off-the-shelf VR headsets, the event delivered more natural interaction while maintaining stream quality.

The experiment also pointed to lower operating costs and stronger commercial potential for XR and virtual events.
