Former NASA chief takes helm of national security space firm

Quantum Space has named former NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine as its new CEO.

The company is developing Ranger, a refuelable spacecraft built for rapid maneuvering across multiple orbital regimes.

Ranger is aimed at U.S. defense and national security missions, including surveillance, reconnaissance, and orbital mobility.

The move connects an experienced government space leader with a company targeting cislunar and lunar-orbit operations.
