‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Rotten Tomatoes Reviews Are Not So Super

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie opened to mixed critical response after its review embargo lifted Tuesday.

Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer shows a 44% critics score based on 77 reviews.

The film features returning stars Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya-Taylor Joy and Jack Black and new voices including Donald Glover.

The sequel is rated PG and opens in U.S. theaters on Wednesday.
