Stardew Valley Dev Reveals a New Romance Feature He Wants to Add to the Farming Sim

Eric Barone said he’s open to adding a romance mechanic in Stardew Valley that would let players pursue married villagers.

He stressed that any such option would come with major consequences and likely backlash from the town.

The idea has come up before, but he has not confirmed it will actually be added to the game.

If implemented, it could make Stardew Valley’s relationship systems more morally gray and controversial.
