Tesla to buy entire output of 140 MW Texas solar project to meet rising energy needs

Tesla signed a long-term PPA to buy all electricity from Zelestra’s planned 140 MWac Lumen Farm solar project in northeast Texas.

The project is slated to begin construction in 2027 and reach full operation by 2029.

The deal secures more clean power for Tesla in Texas and strengthens Zelestra’s U.S. expansion.

It also extends the companies’ renewable energy partnership from Spain into the U.S.
