SpaceX Will Launch Starship V3 For Its First Test Flight Today

SpaceX is targeting a May 22 launch window for Starship V3’s first test flight from Starbase after scrubbing the May 21 attempt.

The delay came after a hydraulic pin on the tower arm failed to retract, forcing the mission to be held.

The flight is meant to showcase the redesigned Starship system, including higher-thrust Raptor 3 engines and updated avionics.

Planned objectives include a Gulf offshore landing for Super Heavy, stage separation, Starlink simulator deployment, and heat shield imaging.
