Apple Maps, built into Ford EVs' native navigation

Apple and Ford said Ford’s 2027 EV platform will embed Apple Maps directly in the vehicle.

The integration uses Apple’s new MapKit for Automotive SDK for navigation, route planning, and charging-aware directions.

It will also support vehicle functions such as battery preconditioning to improve EV travel and charging performance.

This is the first direct Apple Maps installation in a car, showing deeper Apple-automaker software integration beyond CarPlay.
