Plex's 200% Lifetime Pass price hike tries forcing users to another subscription

Plex will raise the one-time Lifetime Plex Pass price from $250 to $750 on July 1.

Monthly and annual Plex Pass plans will stay the same, and current lifetime subscribers will not be affected.

Plex says the increase is meant to fund ongoing development and maintenance.

The sharp hike may push more users toward recurring subscriptions and highlights Plex’s focus on long-term revenue.
