NASA Astronauts To See Total Solar Eclipse, Break Distance Record

NASA's Artemis II crew will perform a lunar flyby on April 6 with six hours of observation time.

At their farthest point they will reach 252,757 miles from Earth, breaking the Apollo 13 distance record.

During the flyby the Orion spacecraft will experience a nearly one-hour total solar eclipse and the crew will view far-side lunar features.

The crew prepared handheld cameras and NASA is streaming live coverage on YouTube.
