Would you let them clean your house for free in exchange for filming it from top to bottom? This startup thinks you’d say yes

New York startup Shift is offering free full-home cleaning in exchange for video recordings of the job.

The footage comes from devices worn by cleaners and captures both the cleaning process and parts of the home interior.

Shift says the data is anonymized and used to train robotics and AI systems, including partners like Figure AI and Physical Intelligence.

The model extends “pay with data” from online services into private living spaces, raising fresh privacy and surveillance concerns.
