X wants to stop creators from farming stolen viral clips for easy money

X is cracking down on accounts that automatically repost stolen viral clips to game creator payouts.

The platform says it will cut or remove revenue share for offending accounts, in some cases by up to 90%.

Impressions and monetization will increasingly be directed to the original uploader instead of repost accounts.

The move is meant to curb content theft farms and improve attribution and earnings for smaller creators on X.
