Google Meet rolls out on Apple CarPlay and leaves Android Auto drivers behind

Google Meet is now available on Apple CarPlay, letting users join meetings from their car dashboards.

In CarPlay mode Meet disables cameras and participant video while sending audio through car speakers.

CarPlay controls are limited to mute/unmute and leaving; chat, polls, hand raise, and Q&A are unavailable.

The feature began rolling out on March 23, 2026 for Workspace, Workspace Individual, and personal Google accounts; Android Auto support is not yet available.
