KRW 24.2 Billion Defense Hyper-scale AI Contract: Hanwha Systems Consortium Named Preferred Bidder

A Hanwha Systems consortium has been effectively selected as the preferred bidder for a KRW 24.2 billion defense mega-AI command-and-control development project.

Over 42 months, the project will build a defense-specific large AI platform and apply it to the Korean military’s command-and-control system.

The effort aims to improve multimodal battlefield data analysis, threat assessment, and response support for military decision-making.

It marks a push toward defense AI, data fabric, and LLM-based C2 capabilities aligned with KCCS and JADC2 concepts.
