Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs. Galaxy Z Fold 7: A new name with better specs

Samsung has replaced the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra as its flagship foldable.

The Fold 8 Ultra adds a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 5,000mAh battery, 45W charging, better cameras, and seven years of OS updates.

It launches at $2,099.99, $100 more than the old starting price, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has dropped to $1,499.99.

Despite the upgrades, Samsung still hasn’t added full dust protection or major improvements to selfie cameras.

The new naming and higher price may create confusion and influence upgrade choices across Samsung’s foldable lineup.
