Benchmarking SurrealDB 3.x vs. Postgres, Mongo, Neo4j and Redis (With Fsync) | Hacker News

SurrealDB’s benchmark authors clarified the comparison setup against Postgres 17, MongoDB, Neo4j, and Redis.

They said the tests used 1M, 5M, or 15M records depending on the category, with the same dataset shape, workload, harness, and hardware across engines.

The published persistent runs were full-durability tests, with fsync and synchronous_commit enabled in Postgres.
