Reconstruction of Mitsui Outlet Park Tama-Minami-Osawa Begins; Food Court Strengthened

Key summary
Mitsui Fudosan has started rebuilding the B district of Mitsui Outlet Park Tama Minami-Osawa in Hachioji; the A district will remain open while being renewed, with opening planned for spring '28.
The redevelopment aims to create a commercial facility for the next 30 years and to retain area vibrancy by rebuilding only the B district; Mitsui will cooperate on wider area development and Hachioji City is studying public-space improvements around the station.
Through the B-district rebuild, store count will expand from about 110 to about 150, and dining functions including a much-requested food court will be strengthened.
During construction an event space along pedestrian routes will host kitchen cars and rest areas, and a large-roof plaza will be installed to enable events and diverse stay-and-exchange uses beyond shopping.
The site is Minami-Osawa 1-600; site area about 47,500 m2 and total floor area about 53,970 m2. Commercial buildings A and B are both two stories (A ~24,400 m2, B ~12,800 m2). Access: 2-minute walk from Keio Sagamihara Line Minami-Osawa Station and about 11 km from the Chuo Expressway Kunitachi-Fuchu IC.
