A developer built Quick Share from scratch for phones Google forgot, and it actually works

Open-source Android app Bada re-creates Google Quick Share from scratch for unsupported phones.

It can send and receive files over Wi‑Fi LAN, using Bluetooth-based discovery, the Quick Share PIN flow, and encryption.

The app has been tested with some Samsung phones, but transfers are still unreliable in some cases.

Windows support has not worked yet; the biggest benefit is for phones without Google Play services, including many Huawei and Chinese Android devices.
