Motorola phones are injecting affiliate codes in Amazon app, report says

A report found some Motorola phones using Smart Feed were routing Amazon app launches through a browser redirect that added an affiliate code.

Motorola said it has fixed the routing bug that affected some U.S. users on certain devices, including the Razr Ultra and Razr Fold.

The issue raised concerns about affiliate-link hijacking, user trust in app launches, and the integrity of Motorola’s app suggestion system.
