Microsoft starts removing Copilot buttons from Windows 11 apps

Microsoft has begun removing Copilot buttons from Windows 11 apps.

In Notepad, the button is replaced by a writing tools menu in the latest version for Windows Insiders.

Snipping Tool no longer shows a Copilot button when an area is selected to capture.

Microsoft says the change is meant to reduce Copilot entry points in Snipping Tool, Photos, Widgets, and Notepad.

Microsoft says the removal is also part of a broader plan to fix Windows 11, and Notepad still keeps AI features.
