Meta’s “AI glasses” arrive in Japan: “Ray-Ban Meta” from 73,700 yen, with hands-free camera shooting and AI questions

Facebook Japan and EssilorLuxottica announced that Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) and Oakley Meta will go on sale in Japan from the 21st.

The AI smart glasses feature a 12-megapixel camera, 3K video recording, Meta AI activation, translation, and an LED capture indicator.

Prices start at 73,700 yen, bringing hands-free shooting and voice-controlled AI wearables to the Japanese market.

The launch could help expand the domestic smart glasses market for everyday use and sports applications.
