Nuro Approved To Test Its Driverless Uber Robotaxis On California Roads

Nuro received an updated California DMV permit to test Uber-backed Lucid Gravity robotaxis without a human operator.

Testing will begin later this year on public roads in parts of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

The permit is a key step toward large-scale driverless ride-hailing in California, a major commercialization milestone for Uber and Nuro.
