Sodium-ion batteries were not allowed on airplanes even before; Elecom issues correction and apology

Elecom corrected its guidance on sodium-ion battery products, saying they were not newly banned from April 24 but had already been prohibited as airline cargo baggage.

The correction came after the Civil Aviation Bureau pointed out the error.

Elecom apologized for past in-flight carry-on labels and will accept returns and refunds for affected products.
